About
The Pink Moon is the brainchild of floral designer Rebecca Shepherd, whose nearly two decades in the event and wedding industry naturally led her to create something more.
After producing countless celebrations throughout her career, Rebecca recognized a consistent gap — there were few thoughtfully designed venues dedicated to intimate gatherings. Smaller weddings, milestone birthdays, bar and bat mitzvahs, and meaningful celebrations deserved a space that felt just as special as large-scale events.
Years earlier, Rebecca opened a flower shop in the heart of Gowanus. From the moment it opened, visitors were captivated by the space itself — 25-foot ceilings, an oversized chandelier, and an undeniable sense of character and beauty. Walk-in customers would often step past the velvet rope meant to define the retail area, drawn in by the wonder of the room.
Once an old door factory spanning two floors, the building was masterfully gutted and restored by its architectural visionary landlord, preserving its soul while elevating its design. The bones of the space, combined with Rebecca’s floral expertise and deep understanding of event production, made the evolution inevitable.
The Pink Moon is a natural progression of Rebecca’s work — a curated, intimate venue created to fill a void in the neighborhood and beyond. It is a space where design, warmth, and celebration meet. A place where smaller gatherings are given the attention, beauty, and intention they deserve.
